Three to Five Words that Describe Neal:
Generous, enthusiastic, welcoming, thought-provoking, understanding.

Brainstorm, helpful, funnel-system; I'd talk, Neal would funnel down.

In my family, there is a TRIBE of strong women, and Neal has worked with the kids of four of them, and helped them get into good schools. He has worked with many of my aunties' kids.

He teaches me a way of seeing the world. Often I come into sessions with him feeling something, I’ll rant or something--he will then offer advice before we begin working. He's not one of those people who will tell you to leave what you're feeling at the door---rather has you feel what you are feeling and offers helpful things then leading to a creative space unbothered by outside things BECAUSE you don't leave it at the door---you welcome the emotion and talk through. It's like writing therapy. No matter what emotion I am feeling, I always end up happier than I originally was when I came into a session.

Of all the tutors I have worked with, Neal has made me laugh the most and made me feel the most safe to think, and most importantly, made me feel the most understood.
-- Kaia

What will stick with me is to how to properly structure my sentences and paragraphs.
I learnt the proper and best ways to take notes in English class and how to memorise them.
Neal gave me a different perspective on how to read books and which books I should read.
